Laser hair removal devices are searching for pigment and can therefore laser the pigment it finds in the tattoo. this can cause damage to the skin including burning, blistering, hypopigmenting, or hyperpigmenting, etc.. I recently had laser hair removal on my legs. the first visit went smoothly. the second visit involved a different technician. this technician hit two of my tattoos with the laser.. I had my 3 laser tattoo removal session before 2, 5 weeks, but unlike previous times, it hasn't been healed yet and it looks like a brown smudge. my doctor said that the laser had to go deeper this time so the burning was deeper..
